BIOPHOTONIC IMAGING
Many optical tools are insufficient to address complex biological problems. To address this need, we are developing novel optical techniques and devices that are inspired by the biological challenge at hand. Our first iteration of the "physiology-first" approach yielded a new technique, termed resonant reflection spectroscopy, that may address critical but so-far missing data in the clinical study of skeletal muscle physiology.
